Brian Hicks is the author of 4 books, with another 2 novels in his John 14 Chronicles - as well as a prequel and a spinoff - forthcoming.
His day job for 35 years has been training and motivating independent salespeople across the country. Over 100,000 people in all 50 states (and a couple of US Territories) have heard his message.
He's built a career on communicating ideas that inform, instruct and inspire independent salespeople and entrepreneurs. After he struggled to finish his recent novel, The Way, he realized the lessons he's taught for 35 years would benefit struggling authors. So he created The Motivated Author.
His non-fiction work is only available at The Motivation Author on Patreon.
His fiction is available primarily on Amazon. The Way is the first in The John 14 Chronicles. Book 2, titled The Truth, will release in November 2026, and Book 3, titled The Life, will release Easter, 2027. The series will also feature a prequel, called The Watchman, and a spinoff (no title to date). The John 14 Chronicles is a YA crossover, near future, action adventure Christian series. It takes place in the former United States, where Christianity is now illegal.
Brian lives in Nashville, TN with his wife of 34 years, where a simple "Jeep Day" is among their favorite activities. Their three grown sons live in Tennessee and Michigan.
